I just stubled onto the development documentatin of MythTV 0.19-prerelease. I'm wondering when this will be done. Also, I see that there is code for the SA3250HD. How can I patch KnoppMyth installation with something that I find here? |

You're asking the wrong people. You need to head over to the MythTV Developers mailing list for that question. While the distinction may not be obvious from the outside, KnoppMyth is a Linux distribution which includes MythTV, making Cecil a user (rather than a developer) of MythTV just like the folks who use the KnoppMyth distro that he is a developer of. |

Post subject: | I like the new 0.19 from SVN !! |
I had a problem with my DCT-6200 which wouldn't show video anymore via firewire and my KnoppMyth would crash the front and backend. I didn't know what was going on so I installed Windows and used the AVS forum guide to get the DCT-6200 capture device working and record from firewire in Windows. Good news, I can record from Windows so I know it's not my STB, firewire connection, firewire port, or my computer, it must be software. So I decided to install Suse 10.0 x86_64 AMD64 and then build MythTV from SVN trunk source code. Good news is that I was able to build MythTV and get the backend and frontend working (need to rebuild when I get home and compile with Firewire enabled), filled with programming data, opened the frontend and launched into the program guide perfectly. I like the new 0.19 features and new pop-up keyboard. It also now natively supports the SA3250HD, dont' know about internal channel changing though. Next step, get plug-ins working. |
