I am experiencing the problem that when watching prerecorded videos through video manager the audio rapidly gets out of sync with the video - the audio gets way ahead of itself. I've tried searching for 'audio sync' type threads in the forum but only found threads where the reverse happens - sound stutters or gets behing the video. Have anyone else encountered this problem that could perhaps shed some light on the issue? |

Miraclemaker I have been doing some reading on the problem. You could try this tip from mplayer's doco: Quote: If you happen to have a bad audio driver, try the -autosync option, it should sort out your problems. See the man page for detailed information.
If you run mplayer from a terminal window it may also give you some information on the sync issue. |

I tried playing around with the autosync option and it didn't do any good. Playing a video from the command line was useful as I got the notice saying my CPU wasn't fast enough to play the video (it's just an epia MII12000), I added the 'framedrop argument and it fixed the problem. Thanks for your help. |
