Just before i get in too deep with what i *think* i'm gonna do..

Just got a server setup on the backend.. i'm gonna also put in another server that just has a bunch of drives that will be available on the network via NFS..

if i mount the NFS drives under the /myth/video directory, will remote frontends be able to see it..??

I come from a windows world.. where you can't share a remotely connected share.. if ya get my drift.

So.. I guess my question is will the front ends be able to see my video archives or no?

Yes if you mount it on the frontend.
