Is it possible to have pip with 1 tuner (for example, watching a previously recorded program, and have live tv in the smaller window)?

From my experience I don't believe this is possible as the WatchTV uses a different system to MythVideo and never the twain shall meet.

Although I could be wrong :?

I think you are wrong only because you have mentioned MythVideo which has nothing to do with watching previously recorded programs or live tv, but I have not been able to work out if pip is possible when watching a recording. I agree it would be nice, but I don't believe it is supported. It might be something to look out for in 0.19 because live tv is more like watching an in-progress recording.

On a side note, with my DVICO card, I can do pip with one tuner because the framegrabber part of the card which handles the svideo/composite input seems to be separate from the DVB part, so I can do pip with one picture form DVB and the other from my video which has an analog tuner. I gues this is not technically using a single tuner though.

PiP isn't possible with 1 tuner card. PiP only works with when watching live TV.

Sounds to me like this is something for the users to ask for from the MythTV folks. Get them to include it as a feature.

Yeah, that does seem like an odd oversight, especially since in 0.19 the rest of the mechanism is pretty much the same, with live TV you're actually watching a real recording now. The only big differences are the recording group and the expiration rules...
