Oh well, I'll wait until knoppmyth packages it I guess. My new box doesn't arrive for another week anyway.

title tag says "....::::OWNZ BY VÉ10 D3N14L H4CK3RS::::...."

and it was just in the last few minutes. I browsed around a bit after first reading this very post without any trouble. Sad.

Actually, it looks like they are trying to fix it up, bring the server up and down.

When it's ready. First Cecil needs to build it, then the testers need to test it, then it will get released if no show stopping issues turn up.

If you next question is how long that's going to take, it won't be this weekend since Cecil is at Scale 4X http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/. He also just got back from a businesse trip on Thursday, so I expect he's got a bunch of stuff to catch up on next week.

I am sooooo looking forward to the next version of knoppmyth with myth 0.19

I am going to attempt to do a manual upgrade with 0.19. If any1 has taken a knoppmyth and got it up to 0.19 I would love to know.

See the wiki page on CompileMythTVFromSVN. However depending on what version you're running it may take more than that, like upgrading the DB schema from 0.18.* to 0.19, reintegrating Cecil's patches, ... Make sure you've got a really good backup before you start playing with this.

When Watson et al do incorporate 0.19 into knoppmyth, it would be nice to have a simple way (like wget the debs & dpkg them w/out breaking anything else) to just upgrade the debs on older knoppmyth releases. That way, I won't have to do that auto-upgrade thing & bollox my root partition and all the myriad 3rd party stuff installed and meticulously configged in my knoppmyth box.

At SCALE today, one of the "Debian guys" had a t-shirt that stated
Quote:
Good things come to those that....
wait
Thanks to tjc and other that recognize that I am a busy person and I do have a personal life. While it is always my intent to produce a release with the lastest version of MythTV in a quick a time as possible, this may not always be possible. The moment MythTV is release, there is nothing stopping someone from downloading the source and compiling it. The deps and dev libraries are included for this purpose.

Thank you cesman! We appreciate your hard work on Knoppmyth. I'm sure that no one is expecting a 0-day release with MythTV 0.19.
We're just overexited that such a milestone is finally achieved. :D

Currently I'm making the 0.19 release from MythTV. I've allready builded a SVN-tarball on my VM.

I'm quite curious what the outcome will be :)

Tomorrow evening will be the make install of all 3 items.

I just have to remember not to shutdown the backend...

I've upgraded my MythTV into version 0.19 without serious problems.

When I'm off work I'm going to check how it's working, but what I've seen sofar I'm very satisfied with the new version.

MythWeb has had a lot of serious changes.

I haven't seen the frontend yet, because I've done a remote update... :)

I'm very curious if the CC and TXT is working now.

Greetings,

Eppie
