Post subject:  Minor tweaking of start/end times per channel?

I thought this had been discussed before, but my searching has either proven me wrong or proven that I don't pick very good search words. :D

I'm trying to figure out if there's any way to adjust the shows on a particular channel by a small amount. Almost all of my shows record right when the show starts and stop when they end. All except Spike TV. For some reason, all of their stuff seems to be around 30 seconds late. So I get a little of the previous show (don't care) but the end of MY show gets cut off if there's something else recording right after it. Normally, the next show is on the same channel, so I just watch the very beginning of the next show. (And if there's nothing after it, then the 15 seconds I add on the end of all programs comes pretty close to taking care of it.)

I know you can modify the start & end times of particular programs, but only in one minute increments. It'd be really nice to be able to shift all programs on this channel (or even individual programs, since there's only two I'd need to modify) by 15 or 20 seconds. If there is way to do this, I can't find it.

I agree Spike TV is the worst channel for starting their shows late. Only solution I know is to set each show on Spike to record an extra minuet at the end. It would be easier to have a setting for the channel that would automatically add the extra minuet.

BTW one of the plained freatures for later development is to allow two shows recorded on the same channel one after the other to share the pre/post record segments still using only one tuner. Right now if there is one minuet of overlap, myth will start the second show with a second recorder.

Great ideas but you're talking to the wrong people. Go file a request for enhancement in the MythTV issue tracking system - http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ If you make a good report or suggestion they're surprisingly responsive.
