I am attempting to follow instructions from the MythTV Wiki on converting recordings to flv files, with the intention of streaming them via mythweb.

Everything is pretty straight forward, except it doesn't work!

Some closer digging shows me ffmpeg is supposed to be converting my recordings to flv files. In the 'suggested' script, errors are sent to /dev/null, but I've entered the commands manually and see ffmpeg says nuv is an unknown format.

I would accept that, except nuvexport uses ffmpeg. So, there must be some way to make it read the recordings.

Do you have any thoughts or suggestions?

I am using a Hauppauge Win-TV Go card and am encoding in mpeg-4 (no mpeg-2 on this card). Even with an old AMD 500 MHz CPU, KnoppMyth works for me!
