Post subject:  How do you play multiple recordings (add to playlist)

When I use the "add to playlist" function when playing recordings, it doesn't seem to work.

For instance, I want to play multiple cartoons one after the other for my little girl, I then hit "play", it only does one video.

Is there some hidden "play playlist" function somewhere?

Thanks

Post subject:  Playing the Playlist (menu is hidden)

This I found by accident: the Playlist menu entry only appears once you have added something to the playlist.

- Highlight a few recordings with the right arrow/ "Add To playlist" command.
- Press "M" on your keyboard (or hit the Menu button).
- The 4th menu line now shows "Playlist options".
- Select that, you'll see the Playlist menu:

-------------------------------------------------------------
There are __ items in the playlist.
Play <===THAT is what you want!
Shuffle Play
Clear Playlist
Toggle playlist for this recording
-------------------------------------------------------------
[ These actions affect all items in the playlist ]
Change Recording Group
Job Options (e.g. commercial-flag all of playlist)
Delete
-------------------------------------------------------------

When I'm making compilation archive tapes, I add multiple recordings to the playlist, use the Change Recording Group to change their group to, say, "FOR_MOM". Then pick the Menu command to display BY the recording group...so all the "FOR_MOM" recordings show up in one screen.

I start the VCR, record that screen showing all the shows in the playlist, then do Menu, Playlist options, Play...and they all play one immediately after another. If you use an 8-hour tape in EP mode, you can archive all 8 hours to be recorded overnight, with just a few commands.
