Post subject:  Myth TV and DVB-S Satellite tuner cards

I noticed that there seems to be next to no information on Myth TV and DVB-s cards.

I have a couple of Vision Plus DVB-S cards, one with and the other without a CAM. It seems however, that the whole MythTV was designed around terrestrial cards.

Even the mythtvsetup has references to Terrestrial tuners and no settings for the Satellite tuners.

The cards get detected at boot but in order to get the /dev/dvb/adapter0 directory and all the associated devices I need to run
# modprobe dvb-bt8xx

Can anyone point me to some more references with respect to setting up MythTV with Satellite tuner cards?

What about Google?

But you are kind of right: DVB support is new, but when searching the Wiki's and FAQ's around for the various PVR-projects (MythTV, VDR, KnoppMyth) and general Linux-DVB support, you'll find the information you need, trust me...
I do have 2 SkyStars2 up and running, and I suceeded in getting those up although being a total Linux Newbie...

The information is out there and Google might help you
