Post subject: | mythfilldatabase doesn't terminate; no listings |
I've just done a fresh install of R5B7 on my machine (A26 worked perfectly btw) but I've run into some hiccups. I'm using a DVB adaptor and have set up MythTV to use the tv_grab_uk_rt. Problem is, running mythfilldatabase refuses to finish. This is the output it gives: Code: mythtv@mythtv:~$ mythfilldatabase 2006-04-03 19:12:44.801 Using runtime prefix = /usr 2006-04-03 19:12:44.844 New DB connection, total: 1 2006-04-03 19:12:44.851 Connected to database 'mythconverg' at host: localhost 2006-04-03 19:12:44.871 New DB connection, total: 2 2006-04-03 19:12:44.873 Connected to database 'mythconverg' at host: localhost 2006-04-03 19:12:44.875 Updating source #1 (uktv) with grabber tv_grab_uk_rt 2006-04-03 19:12:44.877 ----------------- Start of XMLTV output ----------------- 2006-04-03 19:12:44.880 New DB connection, total: 3 2006-04-03 19:12:44.882 Connected to database 'mythconverg' at host: localhost All data is the copyright of the Radio Times website <http://www.radiotimes.com> and the use of this data is restricted to personal use only. I left it all of last night and it remained like this in the morning. In the end I had to terminate it as it was impossible to do anything else (it was thrashing the disk and CPU.) There is still however no listing data. Using EIT instead of tv_grab_uk_rt didn't work either - no listings after about 12 hours when they used to pop up almost immediately. Here is the relevant log data: Code: 2006-04-03 19:11:32.681 Running HouseKeeping

That's exactly what I did yesterday afternoon before posting this question! I'm pretty sure tv_grab_uk_rt is working fine (I can run it manually and get the XML data no problem at all). It's just merging the data into the myth database that goes wrong. |

sorry .. should have taken a closer look at your orginal post. ;) Take a peak at the mysql sticky -- your database may be corrupted http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1043 |

That doesn't look to be it either - the table check was fine with no errors. Running mytyhfilldatabase in verbose mode now... made it'll throw up something. |
