I have a problem with mythstreamtv (0.97) (mythtv 0.19). About a minute after starting the stream it seems to die. The process seems to be running. Code: root@mythtv:~# ps -ef | grep vlc www-data 8108 8101 16 14:20 ? 00:00:38 /usr/local/bin/vlc -I http --http-host=:8002 --sout-transcode-fps=10 --sout-transcode-deinterlace /myth/tv/1119_20060404120000.nuv :sout=#transcode{vcodec=DIV3,acodec=mp3,vb=128,ab=32,scale=1}:std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,url=:8001} root 8142 6887 0 14:24 ttyp0 00:00:00 grep vlc but port listening is gone after a minute: Code: root@mythtv:/tmp/stream/mythstreamtv# netstat -an | grep 8001 tcp6 0 0 :::8001 :::* LISTEN root@mythtv:/tmp/stream/mythstreamtv# netstat -an | grep 8001 tcp6 0 0 :::8001 :::* LISTEN root@mythtv:/tmp/stream/mythstreamtv# netstat -an | grep 8001 tcp6 0 0 :::8001 :::* LISTEN root@mythtv:/tmp/stream/mythstreamtv# netstat -an | grep 8001 root@mythtv:/tmp/stream/mythstreamtv# netstat -an | grep 8001 Processor is busy until it stops listening at 8001 Code: 0 0 0 14136 1900 304868 0 0 64 184 1094 132 1 3 87 9

Saymen, I don’t have an answer for you, but I have the same exact problem. I only have remote access to my Myth box so to test Mythstreamtv I have to play it over the Internet. My guess on why it keeps crashing is that the upload speed of my cable modem is not fast enough to keep up with the stream. I have noticed if I change the FPS option to less FPS the stream will sometimes last longer than the usual 30 – 60 seconds. I unfortunately don’t have local LAN access to see if everything works properly locally on just the LAN. Is your problem on the LAN as well as over the internet? Hope this give you something to start working off of. |
