Hi,

I'm a quite-newbie in linux, and i want to install mythv on this box:
- PIII 650
- 256 RAM
- unknow motherboard with Matrox MGA graphic onboard (no TV-out)
- Radeon 7000 PCI
- Onboard sound
- ATI remote USB RF

I have 2 problems:
- First, i'm unable to launch Xserver from the radeon, simply because the MGA is detected as the default device. Of course, it's imposible to disable the onboard MGA from the bios. So, how can i solve this issues?

- Second: When the ATI RF receiver is plug on a USB port, knoppmyth doesn't start. It stay with this message:

Code:
usb.c : registered new driver ati_remote
usb-uhci.c interrupt, status 3, frame #949

Thanks for all yours advises

Impossible to disable the on-board video?! This is usually done in the BIOS or maybe a jumper on the motherboard. I highly suggest finding a way to disable this. Sounds like you have other issues w/ the motherboard...

well if I were you I would just take that radeon card out and use the matrox, it will give you just as good of graphics, and you will have about as much luck getting tvout of a radeon as you will an onboard matrox without a port.
