I'm afraid that is in no way enough information to even know what you're talking about.

I do not have an ethernet card on my box -- it's no where near where I could have a wired connection - right now it has a USB connected wireless lan card by Netgear - I'm asking if there is anyway for this installation (Knoppix) to support my wireless card - (NETGEAR MA111 - USB)

This is a problem, eh cesman? No nic, so the configuration is not
going to work after reboot. The netcardconfig needs some way
to ask about 'no nics' then see about usb, I guess. I don't have
any usb nic here, do you, or for that matter does anyone here?

I assume if drivers for this NIC were available netcardconfig would work. I know nothing about his hardware or if drivers are available.

The MA111 is supportted in the latest wlan-ng drivers, from www.linux-wlan.org. The problem is that it has only been natively supportted since linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre9.tar.gz, and as 0.2.1 isn't out yet there are no debian packages with native MA111 support. Thats the bad news. The good news is that if you do go ahead and build the code from stratch it works fine, though doesn't play well with iwconfig, and thus has its own rather different way of setting itself up. I have a MA111 attached to my epia-m here and it works fine, even with WEP-128 and shared key....

Cheers
David

What is this "different way" of setting itself up? Any specific help would be greatly appreciated
