I had this working once before, but I had to reinstall and I didn't back up my configuration files. Now I can't get X to startup using the PVR 350s TV out. I followed the Wiki HauppaugeThreeFiftyInstallation instructions. When I booted I got the following in my XFree86.0.log file.
Code:
(II) FBDEV: driver for framebuffer: fbdev, afb
(II) Primary Device is: PCI 01:00:0
(II) Loading sub module "fbdevhw"

PCI 01:00.0 is my video card, not the PVR 350. Is this wrong?

Later on I get this:
Code:
(EE) FBDEV(0): FBIOPAN_DISPLAY: Invalid argument

So I went ahead and updated the IVTV driver as described in this thread. That gave similiar results, excep that the last error message was:
Code:
(EE) IVTVDEV(0): FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO: Invalid argument
(EE) IVTVDEV(0): Mode init failed

Any ideas?

Maybe my install script will help you out...

Your script did not help me out. Installing the badzzzz driver did fix it.

I just discovered that it wasn't the badzzzz driver that did it for me. Instead just installing any older version of ivtv worked. The one that comes with R4V5 was just fine.

Basically, what I did was follow the ivtv upgrade instructions, but I skipped the first wget and used ivtv-0.1.10-pre2-ck105i in place of ivtv-0.3.1x in the instructions.

edit: 0.1.10-pre2-ck105i slowed down my system a lot. I ended up installing ivtv-0.2.0-rc3h with the badzzzz driver instead.
