it will work.

three things

1) the gf2 lacks some of the acceleration that the newer cards have, but that is mostly broken anyways so not a big deal.

2) you have to use nvtv to control the overscan. the built in overscan from the driver doesn't work.

3) Some people say the picture is not as good with the older cards, but it wouldn't hurt to try it first and see what you think. once you have the drivers installed swapping to a newer nvidia card is just a matter of replacing the card.

I use a geforce2-mx440 (64M) for my TV out and am quite happy with the TV out quality. It looks better than my analog TV reception (but I have a dvb card, so much of the improvement may be because of the digital reception). I used nvtv to decrease the saturation and increase the contrast slighty to get a better picture. I also made a patch for nvtv to adjust the position on the tv so that I could centre the picture (rather than having a black bar down one side). Cesman is including the patched version in the next alpha I believe.
Note: don't forget to use bob deinterlacing in the playback settings.
