Hi people,

I`m trying to install R5D1 but I cant detect my pci tv cards. These are the specs:

CPU : Athlon 3800+
Board : Asus A8V-X
Video : FX5200
Audio : On Board
PCI : PVR-150 and a PixelView Prolink mpeg2

The main problem is that the PCI cards are not detected by the system. I`ve tryied also Suse and Ubuntu and both couldn`t detect the cards. I`ve installed Windows and they are good to go, so I`m confident that is a hardware compatibility issue.

This is my lspci and dmesg results:

i`v seen a post (http://forums.viaarena.com/messageview. ... erthread=y)

with the same problem that I have, but with ubuntu.

The solution was?

You can try the "pci=conf1" option in GRUB memu to boot the OS.
The VT8251 Audio Controller should work with this option.

But I don`t have a clue to how do this on knopmyth.

Any help?

A little more info:

I've installed ubuntu and had the same problem. Gone to boot/grub/menu.lst and add the pci=conf1 and the cards were detected. So I'm confident that if I can do the same procedure on knoppmyh I will be able to install my machine.

Any tips?
