I have an old bt848 based sound card. It's a TurboTV from IMS/ixmicro, originally marketed to Mac users. I got it to work with KM. I don't recall offhand which config settings I used though. Also I didn't try to use btaudio yet; it's still using a patch cable to the sound input.

My question... Can anyone tell me for certain if this thing can capture stereo sound? I remember with my PowerTower Pro and bundled software it could only do mono sound, and the resolution wasn't so great. But that could've been an issue with how little processing power computers had back then.

Here are more details about this card. I copied this from the card itself, so I can't be sure that it all means anything.

IMS Turbo TV Model 9608
Assy # 9608-3-304-1 Rev. C
Fab # 9608-3-303-1 Rev. 03

Video Decoder Bt848KPF

Frontend 4032 FY5
Temic 3X9 498

Also: Here's the modprobe line that I used to make this thing work with the bttv module.

options bttv card=9 tuner=6
