hi folks,

my box with a pvr 350 using tv-out (pal germany) runs very well after houres of reading faq and howtos etc. (even divx playback runs well)
but i want to use my expensive hardware to play mpeg files using the pvr hadware decoder.
with:
cat mepgfile > /dev/video16 it works but i want to use the ffw and rew function.
so i need a program which controls the mpg stream.
does anyone have a idea?

thanks in advance

well if you indeed have divx playback through the tvout of the 350 I think you must be well ahead of anyone on this forum, so you are probably out of luck.

As for the rew forward stuff I remember seeing something about that on the mythtv mailing list when I was working on pvr350 out for someone. you should try searching there.

i use mplayer-ivtvosd.diff patched against mplayer-1.0 pre 4 from http://kmos.org/~ckennedy/ivtv/
and the and the ivtvdev driver:
http://www.poptix.net/ivtv/Feb-2004/msg00419.html

mplayer scale,expand=-1:576:-1:-1:1 -x 720 -y 576 -zoom -vo ivtvosd file.avi
that works great .. okok .. the cpu load is very high but a 1.1 Ghz athlon is fast enough to play everything without framedrop ....

i have a athlon 1600+ Mobile (not the ultralow voltage version) clocked at 1.1 Ghz with the AeroCool DeepImpact DP-102 in my box.
it works fanless ..

and by the way .. the tvout quality is awesome.
