I upgraded from R5C7 to R5E50 last night, and have gotten most everything to work, except for playback through my PVR 350.

I added an XFX GeForce 6200 card and can use its s-video out, and everything works fine, except that the menus are very slow (like 1 second lag between a keypress and response).

So I tried to go back to using the PVR 350 output. The menus work as before and are very snappy, but if I try to play back recorded mpegs, or watch live TV, I get a black screen. I know it's recording properly though, since I can see the miniature video playing in the corner when I look at the list of recordings.

I would like to fix both problems, of course, but if I could either
1) make the menus more responsive using the graphics card, or
2) figure out how to get playback working with the PVR 350
I'd be very happy.

I did check the option in Setup/TV/Playback for "Use PVR 350 mpeg2 playback", and I didn't see any other clues in any log files.

Any suggestions?

I am also finding menus to be very slow in R5E50.

The problem with the slow menus was because I was using "nv" driver instead of "nvidia". I installed the nvidia drivers and now the menus and video look great, but the sound has some strange echo quality to it.
