Well, you really haven't given us much to help you with. Many different cards use this chipset, could you be more specific and tell what brand and make the tuner card is?

Perhaps you'll want to wait longer than 1 1/2 hours, as others around the world are still sleeping...

Let me be blunt.
    - You've got oddball hardware (which limits the pool of people who can help you).

    - You're providing very little detail of what hardware you have, what you've tried so far and what you're seeing (which gives those few people very little to grab onto).

    - You're coming across as impatient, unpleasant to deal with, and resistant to their suggestions (which will lead the rest to expect dealing with you to be miserable and unrewarding).
This is one of the surest recipes there is for not getting help on a fourm.

Let me suggest that you:
    - Start a new thread. This will let you break the negative associations which you've established here.

    - Provide detailed information, and I mean DETAILED about your hardware (see my signature block for the minimum level of detail we're talking about, more is better), what you've already tried, what symptoms you're seeing, what the log files say (see the TroubleShooting page on the wiki, especially CheckingLogFiles), ... If this sounds like a lot of of work, consider the effort you're asking us to expend on your behalf. You're not paying us, and we don't have access to your machine so you have to do the leg work.

    - Before you hit [Submit] go back and reread your posting. If it sounds *even vaguely* off-putting go back and fix it. As my wise old father used to tell me, "you'll catch more flies with honey than you will with vinegar."

BTW - I'm not trying to flame you here. If you think that I am, you've got a perfect demonstration of how easily people can misread intent in forums or email. My intent is to help you make a more effective posting which will get you the answers that you want.

OK, Thanks.

I realize it is oddball hardware, because I have researched it all on the net with little results. I switched to Windows and am using it will a little bit more success because those drivers have worked.

Although I would like to use mythtv because it looks to be more feature rich.

Thanks for you input, its just a little frustrating when no one really responds. I will try it your way tho. :D
