My setup seems to be recognized ok - Westinghouse monitor 42" lcd and nvidia 7300 le video card but the max resolution I can get is 1024 x 768. The native res is 1366*768. When I look at the nvidia settings....every other setting is there but there isn't any setting to change the resolution. Suggestions please.
Thanks

Make sure you've got an appropriate setup in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

The DTV topic is a good place to look for the adjustments people need to make there to get their HDTVs working at their full potential.

I can't seem to find the right info on setting up the resolution using the xorg.conf file. Would you put some posts up with alittle detail since I'm new to linux.
Thanks

I searched using "Westinghouse" as my keyword and restricting it to the DTV topic and found these posts, both with the details needed to get your monitor working.

For general Unix/Linux how to information (like how to edit files) see this wiki page:http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=LinuxTips
