 Post subject: Choppy Video

I don't have a tuner (playback only). Playing video in fullscreen or a window is very choppy in mplayer and xine. I've tried different drivers (vesa, nv, nvidia). The cpu never goes above 35%.
Mplayer drops a lot of video frames while audio is fine. Xine stutter audio and video.

Here is my setup:
Sempron 2800+
Biostar Tforce 6100 (socket 754)
Asus Nvidia 6200 TC 256-512
1 GB DDR 3200
120 GB ED hard drive

Current knoppmyth release, plaing back on my lcd monitor (just testing right now).

Am I missing something obvious?

I have done a lot of searching on this and I'm just going in circles now.

This was a hardware issue. Bad Motherboard
