Here's a bit of background. This is an R5E50 system that was auto-upgraded from an auto-install of R5D1. There is a single HD and a single DVD Burner.

I've shuffled some of my hardware around, and have swapped in a motherboard that has a dead primary IDE controller. I had forgotten that the controller was toast, and the motherboard that was in my myth system has already been re-assigned to a new home.

What changes do I need to make so that I can get things up and running here off of HDC instead of off of HDA?

I suppose I need to tell LILO that HDA is no longer home (I don't know how to do this - can anyone help?) and I suppose probably something needs to be updated in my fstab (that seems easier).

Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Is there additional files that will need to be updated?

Too lazy to update this with my current hardware, I'll redo it during my next install =)

Code:
# pico /etc/lilo.conf

Edit instances of hda to read hdc
Code:
# lilo -v

Change your fstab as you mentioned.
Get into your motherboard's BIOS setup menu (typically by holding the DELETE key at boot) and adjust the boot order of your hard drives.

Remember, you will not be able to auto-anything (update, install) Knoppmyth anymore. You'll have to do your installs and updates in manual mode.
