Hi guys, I am having problems getting the hauppauge remote that came with my PVR 150 to work.

So far I have followed http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=Wintv+go+Remote+Howto to the letter, and I can't get past the first "test" stage because the remote buttons do not show any input data in the command line.

Other than that, the only problem i've had with this setup howto is that Ismod doesn't seem to run for me, I keep getting the error "command not found."

Does anyone have an answer for me? Or a hint/idea/suggestion?

Thanks  [/url]

You need to run most of the diagnostic or admin commands (like lsmod) as root. See the LinuxTips page on the wiki.

For the remote, see the R5F1 Hints thread for some things to try, and keep an eye on the details.

So I tried updating the ivtv firmware and rerunning the lirc-reconfig.sh, still no luck with the remote. Anyone have any other ideas?

Also, Ismod won't run even when I am logged into su - root. This is probably an unrelated issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Thanks for all the help.

pretty sure you are trying to run l(L)smod not Ismod try a lowercase L not an uppercase I.

That stuff gets me all the time.

Did you upgrade your ivtv driver and disable the ir keyboard module?
