It could be that the nVidia 7-pin is not the same as your connector. Can you identify if your cable is just that, or is it a signal adaptor?
As far as I understand, it's possible the 7-pin output from your Card has a Composite output as well (pins 3&4), it might be worthwhile "buzzing out" using a multimeter the connections on your cable to identify which pin goes to which.
