I don't have a functioning streamzap remote at the moment, mostly because I have not been able to compile a working lirc module that will talk with it. However here are the lircrc and lirc.conf files I created to get my remote working in an earlier version of MythTV.

lircrc, goes in /home/mytht/.mythtv as lircrc http://www.beresourceful.net/rusty/StreamZap/lircrc

lircd.conf, goes in /etc as lircd.conf http://www.beresourceful.net/rusty/StreamZap/streamzaper

Hopefully these will work for you. If they do work well, I would not mind if someone wanted to toss copies of them onto the wiki, or include them in this thread. I just don't want to toss copies into the thread without having someone else confirm that they are still valid functioning files.

I do have these files on a CD so I should be able to regenerate the links if I loose my server for some reason.

well, ok, just a few questions gushy...

1. what version of KnoppMyth are you using? if you are using R5A9 then it's the 2.6 kernel and you have to use a different method. If you are using R4V5 or something earlier then I would say download 0.07 of the diff and use pre7 of lirc snapshot with it...

2. what are you executing when you patch lirc? do NOT do this: patch -p1 &lt;../streamzap-0.07.diff like it says in the install instructions at the sourceforge website... the formating got messed up and it should be something like this: patch -p1 <../streamzap-0.07.diff

if you need anymore help just ask =)

I'm running R4V5, I'll try the pre7 lirc and diff, though I think I may have already tried that before posting ... I'm not at home so can't look on my pc and check what sources I grabbed.

As for the command I'm running I spotted the &lt; and changed it to <.
