I'm running R4V4.1 and I get the red recordings every once in a while. I'm using a LeadTek 2000XP Deluxe. It will be a happy day for my family when we get this nailed.

someone has posted a fix. it involves some editing of files and recompiling, but the issue is known and fixed. You should be able to find it if you search. It was just posted recently like in the last week or two.

So here is the post from the guy who found the source of this elusive bug.
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2448

Since the fix was only available in the Sept 20 snapshot of video4linux, I doubt that it's been included in R4V5 of KnoppMyth. Though I did notice that there have been several newer snapshots since the 20th.

You can download the snapshot (leading & bleeding edge of V4L development) at:
http://dl.bytesex.org/cvs-snapshots/

Hope that helps someone.

Has this fix helped anyone? Is anyone willing to post binaries of the drivers since we're all using the same kernels/modules/versions?
