In Xine, I often can see "blocks" in the edges of lines.

Also, in some scenes, horizontal lines would flicker across my screen. (Yes, I have the refresh rates set correctly in xorg.conf)

The Internal Player was much smoother.

Blast away all of the Modelines installed by KnoppMyth. They're for a variety of display devices, and if you only have an HD screen, you'll only need these Modes. (SD will still play and look fine - when I say 'only HD' I mean the only hook-up you have b/w your computer and screen is to an HD device.)

This is just a subset of xorg.conf - I left everything else the same except this section.
