Running R5D1. I have 2 PVR 150 cards. Both show all cable channels in the mythtv setup. I noticed after a little bit of goofing, one of the cards only can record / show channels 2 - 13 while the other can record / show all the channels via cable. I read some posts and updated to version .7.1 of ivtv to try to fix the problem, but the 1 card will still only show snow on any channel over 13. I even tried the ivtv option 50 with no success.

I also can not scan for any channels over 13 during the mythtv-setup no matter what us-cable option I choose.

The card in ? is the first card. I ended up switching my settings to make it the 2nd card in the setup so I could have the higher channels.

Do not scan for channels if you're using Zap2it. You'll roach your lineup. Now you've got to go into mythtv-setup, drop all of the Video Sources and start again. When you do, under General make sure that you've got the right frequency set selected, and and when you set up your Input Connections (for the tuner on both cards) make sure you leave them pointing to the default. frequency set so that it uses that.

OBTW - Don't forget to check your physical connections and make sure you're not cascading splitters and ending up with a degraded signal.

I have tried even pulling cable from the next room but nothing over channel 13 on this one card. Redid the whole mythtv-setup. I did not scan for any channels while the backend was off. restarted the backend and just get snow on anything over channel 13 on the 1 card.

I have a very similar situation: two PVR 150s. One sees all the channels just fine, the other is snow on all channels. I've checked the physical connection, and all seems to connected correctly. However, nothing but snow on the second card.

I've tried:
1) Setting up both cards to the same video source
2) Setting up each card to a different video source (which gives me duplicates of every channel, but still no joy)

Any suggestions as to what to try next?

I ran into the same problem. Do you have 1 card with remote 1 without? It seems that they need to be set seperately. There is a terrible explanation at http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Howto on how to set ivtv options for dual cards. Anyway my /etc/modprobe.conf looks like this
Code:
 options ivtv tuner=50
 options ivtv tuner=3,50
Seems to work perfectly.

- You should only need the second lne. The comma seperated types should match the order that the cards are identified in your dmesg log.

- For the benefit of future newbies, _do not do this blindly_. Make sure that the types specified are appropriate for you PVR card. See the troubleshooting pages on the wiki for how to determine this.
