Hey just curious if any one has ever had this happen or know what the problem could be. It seems like when ever i am sending a large file or downloading a large file from my mythbox to windows i get an error that basically says the connection has died. It seems like the NIC just gets locked up because the only way i can get it to work again is by pulling the power cable to my box and then pushing the power button to drain residual power left in the mobo. I have an Abit mobo with an onboard NIC.

"Abit mobo with an onboard NIC"

is not much to go on -- so this is just a guess.

Its a ABIT KV-85 Socket 754 and can be seen HERE i appreciate your reply but my problem is not so much every thing locking up its only the NIC. Myth still plays, records with no problems it just loses all network connectivity. I can unplug the eth cable from the nic and the activity light will stay on which is why i have to unplug the power cable from the box and drain residual power. When it happens i am transferring files over Samba it hasn't really happened while streaming through mythweb.

my whole system is basically:
ABIT KV-85 Socket 754
2 x's 512mb Ram
pvr-150
pvr-350
160GB HardDrive
250GGB HardDrive
