I have a airstar 5000 working well in my current mythbox setup. I wanted to add ntsc capability to record those channels as well. I am leaning towards getting the hauppage pvr-150. Any pros or cons to this? When looking up where to buy it from I only can find the wintv-pvr-150. It has a different model number than 1042 than I have seen previously. Is it the same or similarly usable. ON the product support page it still mentions the ivtv drivers. Also where is the best place to buy it?

I am currently using 3x HD5000's, 1x PVR-500, and 1x PVR-150 with no major problems.

My only issue is that I have one frontend that isn't near as robust as my two Dragon 1.1 spec'd front ends and it can not play back my HD content. This causes me to double record alot of programs so that I can watch the SD version of the show on the slower front end.

The other issue, is that because of the slow frontend, I made my pvr500 and 150 tuners be "first in line" when watching Live TV because the HD channels will hang or sometimes crash the slower frontend. This works well, although on my Sony 55" HDTV, the default channel always comes up as an analog recording that looks horrible on the big screen.

One of these days I'll replace the slow fontend with a newer system (I'm kind of waiting for the Dragon 2.0 spec) and all my woes will be solved. I'll probably scale back to 1x PVR150 which will then only be needed to record BSG and SG1 on scifi.
