I am running R5D1 with a Hauppauge pvr-350 and the A415-HPG remote control. I have no problems with Myth at all, just the remote does not work. I have tried using irw and I get nothing. I have reloaded lirc and it is running. Is there something I can do to check if perhaps the remote, the cable or the card has a hardware failure?

Thanks.

Try running lirc-reconfig.sh as root, and tell it "16" (Hauppauge) and "c" ("silver" ends bigger than the middle). You may need to reboot before it takes effect.

Also check the batteries, that you have the IR cable plugged into the right jack on the card, and that the plug is all the way in. It's really easy to plug it into the silver 1/8" mini plug jack by accident rather than the even smaller black one, or not get it properly seated.

I tried using the lirc-reconfig.sh script and the batteries are new. I double-checked the cable and I have even tried moving it around while using the remote to see if that helps.

Is there any other way to test it besides using irw? [/quote]

I've had this issue myself. I my case, I didn't have the cable fully inserted.

Thanks for the tips guys. I have a Hauppauge 350 with the same issues, and it works now for me!
