Dropped an Audigy card into my system but I am having an issue with echoing. To give a bit of insite into this issue I have in alsamixer set this way:

Playback:
Master 100%
PCM 100%
Front,center,surround 100%
Aux 100% (on)
External amp (on)

Capture:
Analog Mix 100%
PCM 0%

cable (from wall) into tuner card, tuner card out into audigy aux line.

winfast tv2000 expert, audigy 1

If you have a system running you might see an issue right off the bat, input PCM 0%? Well the reason for this is that whenever it kicks in and matches the setting in the mythfrontend setup I get an echo from hell. The posted list above is the only way I can watch TV minus an echo, problem being that everytime I change a channel PCM input shoots to 100% and the echo begins again. I don't get how if anyone has gotten this to work with an audigy card if you have please do tell.

If I turn down any of the settings in the mixer above then sound just goes away. I have gone through and tried a lot of settings in alsamixer to no avail.

Oh and I also get some crackling sound as well, not sure where from, might just be the tuner card itself. I can play music with no crakling so I guess it is the tuner. Any ideas?

I had the same problem yesterday. I solved it by rerunning alsaconf and also removing the asound.conf that I had previously been using and rebooting the machine.

Now I am outputting everything through spdif with crystal clear sound. I have not tried any of the analog ports yet. Personally, I think the one I bought was an overkill for myth but it was ridiculously cheap (after rebate and google checkout).

I would enjoy using spdif but it's analog for me and this echo sucks.
