Hi,

I am hoping that someone can help me out with this as all my other problems have been sorted by the nice people on this and the mythtv forum.

Basically i have a leadtek DTV1000T which i am trying to pipe my sky tv (cable) box through (UK user by the way). There is a walkthrough on the Knoppmythwiki for setting up a UK system but i cant seem to get anything other than a black screen when i try to watch TV. My biggest problem is that i really dont know what type of card option to select during the setup of mythtv and that i guess what i am trying to do is a little different to what most people do in that usually people simple pipe a normal ariel signal into their boxes.

Id be very grateful if someone could help me on this last problem as ill finally be able to sleep at night ;-)

I did a quick google for the card, all I've seen is setups for the DVB-T part of it, I've not seen anything for the analogue side.
In mythtv-setup in General, you need to set up for PAL, PAL Teletext and Europe-West.
For the card itself I think you need to set up 2 cards, 1 for the DVB side (using the DVB card drivers) and 1 for the analogue side (using Video 4 Linux). You may need to play about to identify what input (/dev/videoX) is what (either DVB or analogue), if you select v4l and is the correct device, you should see the option for Composite input or S-Video.
It may help if you post the output from dmseg, to see what the kernel is actually seeing.

Also I would check the connection from your STB, just to check that it connected to the correct SCART, the box is set up to output the correct type of signal, the cable/adaptor is set correctly to output.
