Actisys 200L and dishnetwork echostar receiver -yes or no?

Post subject:  Actisys 200L and dishnetwork echostar receiver -yes or no?
I have an echostar dishnetwork receiver. I bought Actisys 200L IR transmitter from snapstream. I have heard yes and no's that it works, however the yes posts don't say how to get it to work. The no's say that it is impossible because they are hardcoded to 380000 whereas the echostar needs 560000. I have also posted this on mythtv lists too.
I tried this post but it didn't work at all, in fact nothing comes out of my IR transmitter.

(I test this by looking at the transmitter via the Infrared/nightvision mode in my sony handicam). If I look at a standard remote I can see the light so that is how I know it works.
If anyone knows if this will work please point me in the right direction. If not, let me know that too and I'll have to eat my 50 bucks (I bought 2) and make a homebrew from radio shack parts....

This doc says to use pre2, I used lirc-0.7.0pre4.tar.bz2 works perfectly now

it is not surprising at all that nothing comes out of your Actisys 200L IR transmitter when you use the procedure from the above link. the info in my HOWTO document explicitly states that the procedure is for a "simple IR LED" transmitter. in fact, as you will note from the configure statement in my script, the only driver configured into the custom instance of LIRC is the "lirc_serial" driver. the Actisys 200L IR requires the "lirc_sir" driver, so as you can see It Just Won't Work with the procedure linked above.

as you found out, the info here--> http://members.cox.net/rwraithr/IRBlaster_Howto.txt
is specific to the Actisys 200L IR transmitter, as noted by this line in the ./setup section:
> Select 4 Actisys Act200L SIR driver support

saying my procedure "didn't work at all" is like saying you tried using a screwdriver to hammer a nail in and the nail just wouldn't go into the wood. where in my IR LED HOWTO does it say, "this procedure works with Actisys Act200L SIR transmitters and certain models of Toro lawnmowers"???
