Ok, I've been using my PVR-250 for a while with the standard silver remote (the non dog bone shaped one) and I'm pretty happy with it. I have a URC-9910 that has RF and all the other goodies and unfortunately I don't have enough memory left to program all of the buttons from the happauge remote. I'm wondering if I can use the IR receiver from the PVR-250 and then setup any other remote using the lirc setup script. Then I could pick a remote code that's fully programmed in my universal remote and then just map the keys with the lirc configuration. Does the IR receiver on the 250 function as a standard receiver that I can use with lirc, or is it a special thing that only works with the hauppauge remote and the codes that it sends? |

The receiver included w/ the Hauppauge remotes works w/ other remotes that support JP1(if I remember correctly). http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/remotes.php |
