Post subject:  Black Screen with analog capture card

So i have an old POS that i install knoppmyth on to. It is seeing my old haumpauge tv capturecard and actually records video fine.. but when select the "watch tv" i get nothing but a black screen.. I have it setup with the right capture input... any ideas?

I'm guessing you don't have the configuration quite right - See http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... WatchingTV

If that doesn't help, you'll need to provide more information, such as version of KnoppMyth, which Hauppauge capture card, etc.

Thanks for the reply.. I just download RE50 today.. I went over the wiki and double checked everything.. looks lik ei have it right.. it scans the channels fine.. just cant view them... Maybe a videocard overlay issue? does it use the overlay feature?..

well i'm taking the lame way out... I'm installing it on another system.. twice the power of the 1st and better hardware.. the 1st really was an old POS PII 350 who knows what the video card was... This one is at least an P3 650 =) All this system needs to be is a TV viewer with captions for my work shop
