I have an IBM A21P laptop.
I installed knoppmyth and have set it up as a frontend for my 5 E50 backend.
I turned off mysql and mythbackend and everything is good, almost...
The problem is with the video.
If I use the ATI driver I only get the top half of the scren filled while watching tv or recordings.
All of the picture is there but it only takes up the top half of the screen.
I also installed atitvout and when I use that to turn on the tvout I get picture on only the left half of the screen, again all of the picture but on half of the screen.
The menus appear full screen with all drivers.
If I use the framebuffer driver or the vesa driver I get full screen but the framerate is to low to be watchable.
Has anyone had any experience with this? Or know a solution.

I have access to too many of the ThinkPad A2x series laptops, and I always have trouble running Linux on them because of the display.

First off: Update the BIOS. Hit the Lenovo web site and see if you need an update.

The stock ati driver for X is about all there is, and it's still flakey. Once you get X going, hit the Fn-F7 keys and see if toggling the LCD/CRT makes it catch. I have to do this ALL THE TIME to make the LCD work correctly. I hope this helps..

Good tip I will look for the latest bios and run the update.
Fn-F7 didn't do anything. :-(
