Hi guys

Does anyone know how to enable Cool 'n' Quiet?

I have it enabled in my bios, and it worked fine when I had windows installed (after I enabled it in Windows via the software).

And it worked fine in Knoppmyth before I tried setting up nvram-wakeup which didn't work and my bios got set to defaults.

I've re-enabled it in the bios, but the Cool 'n' Quiet doesn't work and the fans just sit on full.

Any ideas? I can't seem to find anything about it!

Cheers

Ah, I was missing another setting in the bios for Q-Fan control (not Cool 'n' Quiet after all).

Did you try ACPI wakeups?
I also have an ASUS M2NPV-VM and it works great.

I haven't but I certainly will!!

I've never had a MOBO that's supported by nvram-wakeup out of the box, and using guess-helper always has mixed results!

I'll give it a go (hopefully tonight) and fingers crossed I'll have my system nearly as I want it.
