Hi

I recently got this board and thought (mistakenly) that it came with an s-video bracket for the TV out (actually comes with 3 colour coded red, green, blue sockets), this isn't too much of a problem, but I'm unsure as to wether the TV out via the bracket is rgb or component.

Also the pin-out diagram (from manual) for the motherboard header has the pins (left to right) as S_VIDIO_C, S_VIDIO_Y, GND, S_VIDIO_A, now this seems very similar to the 6150k8ma header - just with the addition S_VIDIO_A. If I was to wire up a cable from the first three to an s-video cable would it work like a standard s-video cable? ie wire up the chromiance, luminace and ground?

Any help/pointers greatly appreciated.

oh and what would S_VIDIO_A be?

According to wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-Video the pins are:

Pin 1 GND Ground (Y)
Pin 2 GND Ground (C)
Pin 3 Y Intensity (Luminance)
Pin 4 C Color (Chrominance)

I would guess the grounds are all shorted together and the S_VIDIO_A pin is possibly for a yellow RCA connector.

Yeah I have no probs wiring up the s-video cable if the pins on the mobo are what I think they are (chromiance, luminosity and ground). Just wondering what the back panel that it came with to connect to this header is ie RGB or component - guess its component if the header has chromiance etc as its pins.
