There is only one way to do it, as you have described. There is no way to get audio into the PVR350. If it were possible, it would have been done looong before now

Okay guys. I have a question regarding the current state of KnoppMyth, specifically related to the PVR-350 card. I've been reading up on ways to get audio for both LiveTV and MythMusic, etc. The only solution I've found is to run the RCA out of the PVR-350 to the line in on the sound card, then out of the sound card, into the TV/Receiver/etc. This seems to be a bit of overkill. I'd rather not have to buy a second RCA-1/8 cable to make this work. I'm running into the back of my surround sound receiver using RCA. So I need 2 cables to make this happen, instead of buying a second one, is there not a way to run the line/speaker/headphone out of the sound card to the line-in on the PVR-350? I guess currently there isn't a way to use the line-in on the PVR-350, but wouldn't that make more sense than having to run around it? Just a theoretical question more than anything. Thanks! |
