Post subject: | IR blaster - first number problem |
Hello: Mythtv works great. I do have on annoyance though. My Motorola DCT 2500 often misses the first number when my IR blaster sends the signal to the box. The second and third numbers get through but 70% of the time, the first number doesn't. The IR blaster Flashes red 3 times so I know that it's transmitting. I've moved the IR blaster around over the IR transceiver on the DCT but without success. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks so much! yong_sa |

I think I've narrowed down the problem. The channel change works when there's a pause before the IR blaster broadcasts the signal. This pause is random. Is there a way to manually add a short pause before the channel number is broadcasted? |

I dont know what kind of box your sending to, but I am controlling a dishnetwork receiver and found that if I send an "ok" before the numbers it helps the accuracy quite a bit. |

You might want to add some sleep after each digit. I have the DCT700 and it's not very responsive. The sleep commands in my change channel script did the trick: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Motor ... 8dct700%29 |
