Hello all,

I've got a successful setup running KnoppMyth R5E50, 1.8ghz, 512mb ram, acting as front and backend. TV tuner is Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T PCI card 9002.

I'd like to rip out the PCI card now and use USB.

I've bought an Afatech AF9005 based USB DVB-T stick, which is apparently supported by Video 4 Linux (http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB_U ... ech_AF9005), but needs latest version of V4L.

Here is my question:

When I download the V4L source and "make" it - it grumbles about kernel version and quits... How do I build the latest kernel version under KnoppMyth? (or is this a red herring?)

Has anyone tried to do similar, and can talk me through it?

Failing that, has anyone got a suggestion for a good kernel-supported pen-sized USB dvb-t receiver that can receive the UK Freeview subtitles (NOT Teletext 888 subtitles), it's an absolute dealbreaker.

Thanks so much for your help.

David
