Hi all, I've gotten Knoppmyth about 95% of the way there for it's initial config but I'm having trouble with my remote. I have a Hauppague 350 card and the remote is the one with the colored buttons in a square (grey/silver front and black back) and the model in the battery compartment says R808-HPG-5 (maybe that's an S, it's hard to tell). My problem is that the volume buttons only work half right. In other words, I've tried various default lirc setups by running the reconfig. In one, the volume works while watching TV, but it does not operate as the left/right (select unselect) in the menus. When using another config, it will work in the menus correctly but when watching TV, they act as the skip forward/backward keys. I tried using Mythdora and the remote setup was right on so I know it works right but I had problems with Mythdora hanging so I switched to Knoppmyth. So far my only problem has been getting this remote setup correctly. I've tried hand editing the lircd.conf and have seen the changes working, but have not found the right combo to get the buttons to work right. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

If you edit lircd.conf, you probably need to edit ~/.mythtv/lircrc as well. |
