Does anyone know if there is something that would cause my Dishnet scan to fail after updating myth svn. I don't really want to go back if I don't have to (downgrade) I would rather not. I had tried to use the dvb_ng patches, with no success. I know that if I install R5F1 from scratch and then compile svn from source and apply the dvb_ng patches I can get SD channels only no HD channels will scan. I am lost any help please.

I have tried absolutely everything possible but still no luck. I can get the Network ID to show up during a scan but it will not add channels. I have tried new disecq, LNB's, dishes, coax, I tried to reinstall KM from scratch (on another HDD), I have a 22KHZ switch, 2 SW21's I mean everything and all I can come up with is that something is broken. I have been searching for over a month now and still at the same spot. I made a channels.conf file and tried that. I tried a script called fastscan.pl it added channels to the database but it won't lock. It was working originally I updated and then it broke. I have been able to lock channels through Nimiq 1 and 2 but nothing for 110/119. I don't even know where to look anymore. Is it possible that the svn version that I had installed in June worked and now the new one's are broken and if so how could I find out what svn # I was using around that time and go with that.

Probably no responses to your question as it's illegal to use dvb with Dishnetwork and Bell.

As long as he is not using a dodgy CAM, and the stations are broadcast "In the clear", even in the US I don't believe it's illegal (yet).

To answer the actual question, the HD stations are probably encrypted, so unless you are using a dodgy CAM, you shouldn't be able to pick them up.
