I have the urge to upgrade again, and I am looking for a 3rd tuner card for my new backend box. My new backend specs are:

P4 2.6HT
1.5GB RAM
250GB Myth Drive
2x320GB Raid1 for file serving
1xFusionHDTV Plus
1xFusionHDTV Lite

I use XBOX frontends, and therefore only record in SD.

I would like a 3rd tuner card to avoid some of the conflicts we get. This new "Pro" card says it can do analog and digital recording. We have a community TV station in brisbane called Bris31 and I would like to be able to record this on occasion.

Is KM able to know that only this tuner can do analog and schedule recordings to suit?

Does KM even have drivers for these new cards? The processor is listed as a "Conexant CX2388x Decoder(XC 3028 Tuner)"

Are there any other cards that can do digital & analog that i should consider? I am only looking at Dvico because my current cards have been excellent.

Thanks

relating to this older Dvico card:
http://www.centre.net.au/Fusion_HDTV_DV ... 00921.html

I just found this:

Quote:
Better wait for .20

I use the ATSC version of that card, the FusionHD5. You have to set up the digital and analog modes as separate tuners, and Myth gets confused because it thinks they are independant tuners. It may try to use them both at the same time. From the changelog on .20 it looks like that has been fixed:

Quote:
Added support for using both digital and analog portions of pcHDTV cards and DViCO cards.

Has anyone successfully set up a hybrid card with the newer versions of myth?

Why not check for yourself?

because the changelog only says what I have already quoted above:

Release Notes - 0.20
Added support for using both digital and analog portions of pcHDTV cards and DViCO cards.

Which links to:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/DViCO

Which lists these 3 cards:
* DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T
* DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T Lite
* DVICO FusionHDTV5 Gold

So my question still stands. Has anyone used this new "Pro" card successfully with KnoppMyth?
