Hi All,

I have a KWorld 115 card. I would like to use the s-video input. The wiki seems to imply that maybe it isn't supported...

Quote:
The analog setup is less supported and rarely used, but there are rumblings of further support for this feature in the future.

..but this could be out of date... In this thread ppl seem to imply that they are using the the s-video in:

http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... 9f0316efe6

After I do the manual chgs in the thread above the card appears to be recognized but when I go to set it up in Myth I don't get to choose the "input" field, it is stuck at "DVBInput". So I would assume I can't use the s-video, yet it seems some have.

Any suggestions?

I am running R5F27.

Extra keywords: 110, svideo

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I believe using the two sides (analog and digital) of a card that supports both is still a work in progress. In the future, might I suggest warming a old thread instead of creating a new one.

Might also check here. Also update the wiki with your findings.

Thanks Cecil. Right now I am only interested in using the S-VIDEO & not the ATSC/digital etc. I'm basically using it as a video capture card, not a tuner.

As for the new thread, the old thread I referenced specifically was dealing with trying to get this card working and I saw a posting in there (from you I think) that said "if you're card is working start a new thread" so I thought I was being more PC by starting a new thread but I take your point...

Thanks for the new release BTW.. I am using AT&T u-verse and had to make my own lirc config file for the STB as it's so new. As soon as I have verified that it works well I intend on submitting it to you for future inclusion, I think u-verse will grow fast in popularity, it's half the price of my old cable...

If you get your IR Blaster to work I would be interested in it so would the person on this thread
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16524

I have not done anything with Uverse yet and I am getting sad about it.
It does not have firewire and therefore I can not get the HD encrypted content into my MythTV easily.
I have an HD homerun and I have been having a problem getting it to work properly with the Uverse supplied router. I will be using another router soon to see what results I get. Also this will only be unencrypted channels.
There is a USB port on the front of the VIP1200 and VIP1216 that I was told are for updates only. I have not plugged anything into them yet but I am sure they do nothing helpful.
On average I reboot my Uverse 3 times a week because it seems to lock up. Yes it is WinSlave OS. Funny though Uverse has learned from others as they provide all kinds of additional information not found on other DVR's I have had.
I get weather - I can upload images - I can play games - I can schedule from my computer.
Of course Myth kicks the crap out of it but I was surprised what I got for free.
