Hi *

Well, my R5F1 is working very well - so WAF is really high :-)))).

I want to maintain this nice level WAF but for some reasons I want to upgrade to R5F27 which has included totally new architecture of IVTV.

I'm slowly preparing to migration and want to avoid any surprises leading to longer than 1-2 hours unavailability of myth due migration process (BE is servicing whole home).

Currently I have manually declared tuner type for IVTV 0.10.2.
Will IVTV 1.1.0 from R5F27 accept manual tuner type declarations from 0.10.2 or should I do something special here ?

thx in advance

This is place where I started.
Unfortunatelly there is no explicite info - will valid options be preserved or not.
tjc is mentioning about obsolete options. tuner type is IMHO to often needed and it shouldn't be in 1.1.0 changed to obsolete. But we don't know how it is in reality.
As I'm trying minimize server downtime caused by upgrade - I'm trying predict any possible upgrade issue before upgrade procedure and prepare solution in advance....

Tuner type options are not touched by the upgrade process. However you should definitely try removing them on your own. The hardware identification in the ivtv driver has improved almost continuously over the years that I've been watching them.
