Ok, I'm trying to build my own PVR and I've decided to use KnoppMyth for the software. All the parts I have seem to be compatible with the exception of the TV Tuner card (which I need to buy). I did a search for this particular card and found three entries from two and a half years ago. Only one had a reply and it was a simple "No" answer. I was wondering if maybe things had changed or if I could get a more detailed response. This is the card I was wondering about: MSI TV@nywhere Chipset: Conexant CX881 video / audio decoder Also, will I need to have a seperate video card for output or can I run a line out of my capture card? This brings up another question: Will I need a sound card for audio or will both audio and video be carried on the coaxial output from a tuner card? While I'm at it I might as well get some opinions on the rest of my hardware: Intel Pentium 3 933Mhz CPU 768Mb PC133 Memory 60Gb IDE Hard Drive Sound Blaster Live 128 |
