Well, I was trying to use an old amd 1.2 machine I had, and I had it working nicely with a monitor, but it appears I can't get it to connect to my tv and work...at all, not even a post screen at boot, soooo since I need a new video card anyhow, I'd like to get a motherboard/cpu , with basically integrated everything, so I can just add ram and hook a power supply up, and use it as a fe.

It has to support composite out at the last, the NIC needs to be pxe(?) compatible so it can diskless boot over the network...though I do have a million hard drives kicking around, so technically, that's not that important, but it would be nice.

I'm trying to keep the cost down here...so I can justify the new stuff instead of just getting a cheap video card.

I'm sure you all have some suggestions, so fire away!

Thanks
-C

I've got an Asus M2NPV-VM in my backend. It's got everything onboard with every video out you could possibly need (composite, component, VGA, DVI). It also supports SPDIF out but you need to buy the module separately (like 20 or 30 bucks). And it was reasonably priced, considering everything it has onboard.
